How do I know if I am eligible to register with Canadian Sport Institute?
Your Provincial Sport Organization (e.g. Cycling BC, Rowing BC, Swim BC) will send you a notification letter informing you that you have been nominated as a high performance athlete within BC and directing you to connect with your regional Athlete Coach Services representative.
How does the Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) decide which athletes to nominate?
The PSO, in coooperation with the Canadian Sport Institute (affiliate partner of PacificSport), has created a set of sport-specific criteria and benchmarks athletes must meet in order to be selected to their Athlete Nomination List. I think I meet the nomination criteria in my sport, but I was not nominated. What do I do?
If you feel you should have been selected to your sport’s Athlete Nomination List, please contact your Provincial Sport Organization directly and ask to be added to the list.
I was nominated by my PSO, but I lost my notification letter. Who do I contact to register with PacificSport or the Canadian Sport Institute?

While we try and feature all of the benefits, programs, and support services registered athletes have access to on our website, it often requires context to truly understand how we can help you reach the next level in your athletic development. Every athlete receives a minimum of $2,000 value of in-kind benefits each year, but by taking advantage of our services, this number can be much higher!
I have just moved to the Fraser Valley from another area of BC, but I was registered with another PacificSport centre where I previously lived. Does that qualify me to register with PacificSport Fraser Valley now that I live here?
Welcome to the Fraser Valley! More than likely, the answer will be yes. Please contact our Athlete Services team to get more information. We can transfer your registration to our centre and communicate any differences in the services that our centre offers.
